DETAILED TOUR PROGRAM:
DAY 01
Upon arrival at Cochin airport our representative will meet and greet you and transferred to your hotel. A port town since early centuries, Cochin, also known as the spice coast of India, attracted traders and invaders from the world over. Needless to say, Cochin offers you some fascinating snippets of history and culture. Relax and unwind at the hotel.
In the evening, visit an auditorium to watch the famous dance drama of Kerala, the Kathakali. This dance is characterised by some great story telling, amazing costumes and extensive make-up. (Overnight at Hotel)

DAY 02: COCHIN TO MUNNAR (5 KM / 4 H)
Drive along the Periyar River and the dense low altitude forests of Neriyamanagalam which is full of rubber and cardamom estates, then make your way to the picturesque tea hills of Munnar. Once the summer resort of the erstwhile British administration in South India it still retains its colonial charm and is famous for its tea plantations, most of which are privately owned. With its sprawling estates, rolling hills, sparkling waterfalls, picture postcard hamlets and undulating valleys, Munnar is an ideal holiday destination. (Overnight at Munnar – Full Board)

DAY 03: AT MUNNAR
Early morning, trekking up to the Chokkmudi hill a magnificent trails, enabling some spectacular views of the mountains of the Western Ghats. Return back to the hotel in the afternoon. In the evening, visit the tea Museum and walk around the spice markets at Munnar. (Overnight at Munnar – Full Board)

DAY 04: AT MUNNAR
Trek through the Silent Valley where you can trek up to Meesapulimala, literally meaning 'The Mountain of the Whiskered Tiger'. This is a spectacular trek passing through sholas, (high altitude mountainous forest or cloud forests) pine forests, rolling grasslands across myriad mountain streams and spectacular valleys. Sightings of elephants, gaur, Nilgiri Thar are highly possible. (Overnight at Munnar – Full Board)

DAY 05: AT MUNNAR
By mid morning, you will be going up for an easy stroll around the tea estates at Letchmi and walk through the high altitude forests and return for a late lunch and a well deserved rest. (Overnight at Munnar – Full Board)

DAY 06: MUNNAR TO PERIYAR (110 KM / 3 ½ H)
Drive to Periyar, an area known for its undulating hills, spice plantations and elephant sightings. One of the 27 tiger reserves in India, the Periyar valley in Thekkady is the oldest. Check into your hotel. Go on a spice plantation tour today where you will be enticed by not only the aroma of spices like cinnamon, cardamom, pepper and nutmeg but will also get to know how they are grown, harvested and processed before they reach the supermarkets. It is also possible to go for an Elephant ride today. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at Periyar)

Embark on a full day bamboo rafting and hiking trail. The programme starts at 0800 in the morning and ends in the evening. The raft makes its way through the Periyar Lake and you can see the forests on either side. Trekkers can glimpse the lofty mountains bordering the park watershed and the vast plains below. Two armed forest guards will accompany you on this trek. (Overnight at Periyar)

Drive down to the plains to embark on your private houseboat and cruise on the Backwaters, a splendid area full of canals, lakes and coves. Your houseboats or 'Kettuvalloms' are luxurious boats with well appointed bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms. You can sunbathe on the deck or observe the palm fringed landscape from your cabins. Apart from the mesmerizing surroundings it's the life along the backwaters that makes this a fascinating experience. The locals travel in canoes and you will find vegetable sellers, fishermen and other traders bringing household goods, door to door in small wooden boats. As you cruise along the backwaters you can ask your captain to stop at villages, paddy fields and other places enroute. (Overnight on board – Full Board).

Drive to Cochin and it is the time to you to make it to Kochi, but take a detour to the eco-village Kumbalangi – a model village showcasing Kerala life at close quarters. You will also make it to the Nettoor Kalari for a Kalaripayattu show. Rest of the day at leisure. (Overnight at Cochin)

You may cancel your booking at any time prior to commencement of the tour by notifying us in writing, which must be signed by the person that signed the Reservation Form. If you cancel on or before 30 days before the first day of the tour, we will retain your deposit to cover our costs. In addition, if the cancellation notification is received less than 30 days prior to the first day of the tour, additional cancellation charges shall be as follows:

If you request any changes to your travel arrangements once we have confirmed a booking, all out of pocket charges, including charges imposed by our suppliers, will be payable by you, plus an amendment fee of $50.00 per revision per booking. If after the commencement of your tour you request any changes to your travel arrangements, we will do our best to implement them, but we cannot guarantee that it will be possible. In the event of such change(s) being made, you will be liable for any cancellation charges that may be levied for the previously booked service and for any costs incurred by us and our suppliers in attempting to secure any revised arrangements. Any name changes must be provided to us in writing and are subject to any airline fees or penalties.
